It focuses on making production safer, faster, and more cost-effective. You will work closely with design, quality, and operations teams to support both new product launches and ongoing production. Responsibilities
Lead and support a team of manufacturing engineers. Improve and document processes for machining, assembly, and finishing. Identify ways to enhance production safety, speed, and efficiency. Collaborate with design engineers to ensure products are easy to manufacture. Plan for future equipment and production needs. Solve problems and lead investigations when issues arise. Track performance metrics and seek continuous improvement opportunities. Mentor engineers to support their professional growth. Essential Skills
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Industrial, or Manufacturing Engineering. 8+ years of experience in manufacturing. At least 3 years of experience in leading and developing teams. Strong knowledge of lean manufacturing and process improvement, Six Sigma, capacity planning, scaling production and other similar areas. Proficiency with CAD/CAM tools, ERP/MRP systems, and data analysis. Excellent communication and teamwork skills. Additional Skills & Qualifications
Passion for aerospace or aviation is a plus. Proven experience managing and developing engineering teams. Ability to coach and build technical depth and leadership within the team. Track record of implementing process improvements and cost-saving initiatives. Experience with capacity planning and scaling production. Work Environment
This role is primarily onsite and involves working in a shop environment with multiple buildings. You will have your own office space. Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Wilsonville, Oregon area. Please submit resumes clearly showing qualifications. Strong preference for local talent only, unless you are looking to relocate yourself to the Portland area within a couple of weeks. Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $50.00 - $60.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment. Benefits are subject to change and may be subject to specific elections, plan, or program terms.
