$140,400.00/yr - $210,500.00/yr Responsibilities
Oversees engineers performing diagnostics, monitoring and inspecting equipment, and reviews grid technologies, building relationships to facilitate cross-functional knowledge transfer of related work groups Leads the preparation of technical reports, presentations, and other documentation to communicate project status, findings, and recommendations to stakeholders Collaborates with cross-functional teams to ensure development, integration and implementation of future technologies and asset performance management strategies Assists in engineering and business initiatives and grid strategies, including development of innovative procedures and design recommendations Provides support for new equipment installation and startup, then leads handover to ramp and sustaining phases Leads junior engineers in investigating threats on the distribution system infrastructure based on observations and findings Gathers and analyzes basic data using engineering studies and procedures, including routine/diagnostic testing of components and systems Facilitates training and professional development opportunities for engineering team members Protects company assets and properly accessing and managing private customer data and sensitive information with high standards of conduct and integrity Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or a scientific/technical/math field Seven or more years of engineering experience in operations, production, construction or maintenance environments Valid Class C Driver’s License Preferred Qualifications
Experience supporting regulatory testimony and environmental licensing Engineering experience with modeling and power system analyses on transmission systems (50 kV to 500 kV) Experience with +50 kV substation and transmission line design Experience using GE PSLF and/or PowerWorld, PLS-CADD and/or SPIDA Professional Engineer (PE) license or equivalent certification Additional Information
Hybrid work mode; reporting to an SCE facility with some remote work. Primarily based in California. Location: Pomona, CA; may work at alternate locations as needed Up to 10% travel within SCE service territory NERC/CIP impacted position; PRA/background check required and training prior to unescorted access Relocation may apply About Southern California Edison
