Location: Aberdeen Proving Ground, Maryland, United States of America Position: RF Engineering Team Lead Clearance: Top Secret Job Category: Engineering • Time Type: Full time • Travel: Up to 10% (Continental US)
Responsibilities
Lead a specialized team of engineers focused on the analysis and characterization of radio frequency technologies. Guide your team in conducting in-depth technical assessments of RF systems, modulation schemes, and signal characteristics to support mission-critical requirements. Manage a team dedicated to RF analysis and signal characterization, overseeing examination of various radio technologies, and developing methodologies for analyzing complex RF systems. Ensure technical excellence in the evaluation of RF parameters and performance metrics.
Qualifications
Required: Active Top-Secret Clearance with the ability to obtain SCI. BS in Electrical Engineering, RF Engineering, or related technical field. 5-7 years of directly related experience. Experience leading technical teams in RF analysis and signal characterization. Strong understanding of radio technologies including DMR, MANET, and common COTS radio systems. In-depth knowledge of RF protocols, modulation techniques, and signal characteristics. Solid foundation in RF and antenna theory including propagation, link budgets, and system performance. Expertise in signals analysis methodologies and digital signal processing concepts. Proficiency with RF test and measurement equipment such as spectrum analyzers and signal analyzers. Ability to interpret complex RF data and communicate findings effectively. Desired: Experience with software defined radio platforms such as HackRF, Ettus USRP, or similar devices for signal capture and analysis. Familiarity with GNU Radio or similar frameworks for signal processing and analysis. Knowledge of encryption technologies and their impact on RF signals. Experience analyzing RF systems used in unmanned platforms such as UAS, UGV, or USV. Background in defense or government communications systems analysis. Experience characterizing RF propagation in challenging environments. Knowledge of advanced signal detection and analysis techniques. Familiarity with automated RF testing and measurement procedures.

Pay Range The proposed salary range for this position is $82,700 - 173,900 USD. There are factors that can influence final salary including location, contract wage rates, experience, skills, education, and certifications.
