Job Description
Overview Construction Project Management opportunities with Berks Construction Group, a national general contractor focused on retail, big box retail, restaurants, medical offices, fitness and wellness, dental and urgent care facilities. The ideal candidate will be energetic, entrepreneurial, and able to work with a high‑performance team, exhibiting integrity and excellence.
Responsibilities
Chair all project meetings.
Manage 3–4 projects at a time with supervisors on each project.
Meet or exceed project objectives as determined in the pre‑job planning process.
Provide weekly reporting on RFIs/Log, Submittals/Log, Change Orders/Log, and related project documentation.
Oversee shop drawings, maintenance manuals, as‑built drawings, and punch lists.
Guide jobs and teams through pre‑construction, construction, closeout, and post‑construction services.
Maintain a strategic view of risk, profitability, and project lifecycle communications.
Address constructability issues, costs, and logistics; ensure compliance with Berks financial processes and reports.
Ensure projects are completed on schedule and meet profit goals; oversee change order processes.
Assist with new project transitions and pre‑job planning.
Provide accurate percent complete status to accounting each month.
Analyze job costs vs. budget; conduct site visits weekly to ensure quality.
Oversee project security and safety; prepare AIA billing requisitions.
Review purchase orders, delivery tickets, subcontractor requisitions, and invoices for proper project costing.
Coordinate material requisitions and ensure proper invoice coding.
Submit and manage client and subcontractor change orders and assess validity and cost reasonableness.
Qualifications
10+ years of experience in commercial project management of ground‑up and fit‑out projects.
Ability to read and understand blueprints/plans quickly.
Strong computer and software skills; fluent in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Project, Teams, SharePoint, Outlook) and related tools.
Procore experience is a plus; training available.
Ability to manage multiple projects with budgets, schedules, quality, and safety adherence.
High level of organization and interpersonal skills; strong written and verbal communication.
Experience maintaining project budgets and schedules; RFIs and submittals management.
Ability to manage the purchase log and ensure on‑time delivery of materials and equipment.
Experience with change orders and subcontractor cost analysis.
