ABOUT US:

Berks Construction Group is a National General Contractor who focuses on the following business sectors: Retail, Big Box Retail, Restaurants, Medical Offices, Fitness, Health and Wellness, Dental, Urgent Care Facilities, etc. We perform Fit Outs/Retrofits and Ground Up construction. The ideal candidate will be energetic, have an entrepreneurial spirit and a strong desire to work with a high-performance team. Have a positive attitude with the energy to fulfill all job responsibilities with integrity and excellence. Must possess a strong work ethic.

Qualifications Experience:

10+ years’ experience in Commercial Project Management of Ground Up and Fit-out projects

Ability to quickly read and understand blueprints/plans

Strong computer and software skills including Microsoft Word, Excel, Project, Teams, SharePoint, Outlook; Procore is a plus (training provided)

Fluent in Microsoft Excel

Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining budget, schedule, quality, and safety in line with company processes

Work with a high volume of work within tight deadlines and thrive under pressure

Strong organizational and interpersonal skills with attention to detail

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Experience maintaining project budgets and schedules; RFIs and submittals management; change orders; and purchase logs for timely project completion

Responsibilities

Chair all project meetings

Manage 3-4 projects at a time with supervisors on each project

Meet or exceed project objectives as determined in the pre-job planning process

Weekly reporting on RFIs, Submittals, Change Orders, Purchase Orders, and related logs

Guide jobs and teams through pre-construction, construction, closeout, and post-construction services

Monitor strategy, risk assessment, and profitability, communicating throughout the project lifecycle

Identify constructability issues and ensure timely completion of financial processes, costs, and reporting

Ensure projects meet schedule and profit goals; oversee change order process for fairness and owner approval

Assist with new project transitions and pre-job planning

Provide percent complete status to accounting monthly

Analyze job costs vs. budget; conduct site visits at least weekly

Oversee project security and safety; prepare AIA billing requisitions

Review purchases, deliveries, and invoices for correct costing

Coordinate material requisitions and proper invoice coding

Manage client and subcontractor changes; validate change orders for reasonableness
