Overview
Heavy Truck & Equipment Maintenance Specialist position at Emanouil Brothers in Chelmsford, MA. Pay range: $35-$40+ per hour, based on experience. Employment type: Full-Time. Industry: Commercial Landscaping / Hardscaping. Responsibilities include maintaining and repairing a wide range of vehicles and equipment, prioritizing repairs with project managers, performing routine inspections, diagnosing mechanical problems, ensuring timely repairs to minimize delays, documenting maintenance history, and maintaining a clean and safe work environment. The role requires hands-on work with light- and heavy-duty trucks, dump bodies, tri-axles, diesel-powered equipment, and small engines. Responsibilities
Maintain and repair a wide range of vehicles and equipment, including light- and heavy-duty trucks, dump trucks, and tri-axles Repair diesel construction equipment such as skid steers and excavators Service small engines and landscaping tools Prioritize repair work based on direction from project managers Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance Accurately diagnose mechanical problems and recommend solutions Ensure timely turnaround on repairs to minimize operational delays Track and document maintenance history for all equipment Maintain a clean, safe, and well-organized work environment Support parts ordering and inventory as needed Qualifications
Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience as a mechanic Strong experience with diesel equipment and commercial trucks Knowledge of small engine and hydraulic system repairs Ability to stay organized and manage multiple tasks effectively Strong problem-solving and diagnostic abilities Punctual and reliable with a strong work ethic Valid driver\'s license preferred; CDL a plus No formal education requirements; relevant certifications a bonus Benefits
