Electrical Engineer II – Firmware (Onsite) — Goleta, CA. This role is 1st shift, 100% onsite in Goleta, CA, and requires the ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government-issued security clearance. U.S. citizenship is required for clearance eligibility. What You Will Do
Support work in the Hardware/Firmware Engineering Department at the Electronic Warfare Systems Support work on new product development based on descriptions and specifications provided by our customers Partner with integrated product teams to design, develop, and manufacture complex state-of-the-art systems for airborne, naval, and land-based military applications Engage in detailed digital design, embedded systems, and FPGA development Complete tasks including circuit analysis, circuit simulation, FPGA programming, design documentation, design verification and testing, and hardware/software integration at the component and circuit-board level Onsite work location: Goleta, CA Qualifications You Must Have
Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 2 years of prior work experience Experience with basic lab equipment (e.g., oscilloscopes, signal generators) Experience using engineering tools (e.g., Vivado, Quartus) for design (VHDL, Verilog) Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government-issued Secret security clearance post-start; U.S. citizenship required for clearance Preferred Qualifications
Experience in one or more of the following areas: Digital Signal Processing, Intel/Altera and/or AMD/Xilinx FPGAs, Matlab/Simulink with DSP Builder and HDL Coder blocksets, digital hardware design and firmware integration, RF signal processing Experience working in a team environment What We Offer
