Our 18-month Essentials of Manufacturing (EOM) program empowers engineers to step into the future of the industry. Through our advanced engineering development program, you won’t just witness the change, you’ll help drive it. Each challenge you’re given, each insight that’s shared, and each lesson you’ll learn over our 18-month program will help shape you into an engineering leader of tomorrow. We’ll do this by preparing you for a dynamic career, teaching you to apply educational theory to manufacturing practice, and inspiring you to make an impact by bringing factories to the next level. Our 18-month development program provides participants a full-time operational role, designed to improve their manufacturing skills and exposure to Saint-Gobain North America. Participants will be located at one singular manufacturing plant for 18 months and will be involved with quarterly travel to other Saint-Gobain manufacturing sites in North America. The time split between local site projects and EOM program activities is 80:20 respectively. Classroom-based E-learnings, hands-on action-based learning in operational environments, and a plethora of networking opportunities accelerate career development. These trainings and quarterly travel opportunities are a requirement for program completion and full participation should be given, except for extenuating circumstances. Start dates vary, but activities kickoff each year in July and end 18 months later in December of the following year. Upon completion, EOM Engineers will work with our HR team to find an operational role in one of our nearly 160 sites throughout North America. A final placement is not guaranteed, but most graduates are able to choose from multiple Saint-Gobain sites for placement offers. Job Responsibilities
Providing engineering support for site process improvements. Supporting capital expenditure projects / new equipment installations. Supporting safety and sustainability initiatives at the plant. Implementing new automation processes at the site. Analyzing existing manufacturing processes to identify bottlenecks, inefficiencies, and opportunities for cost reduction and quality improvement. Qualifications
B.S. in an engineering discipline (Mechanical). Internship experience in manufacturing or professional setting is a plus. Valid passport required for international travel to Canada. Candidates should possess: A desire to travel and the flexibility to be mobile. A desire to learn and leave your comfort zone. A desire to be part of a community and cohort. EXPOSURE: Every three months, spend approximately one week at a different plant in North America with the rest of your EOM Cohort—learning about our businesses, products, and operations and building strong camaraderie. Travel can take place at any manufacturing site in the United States or Canada. Participants must have valid travel documentation, including a passport. MENTORSHIP: Navigate through large and diverse business units alongside a dedicated mentor, who shares knowledge and advice essential to success and career development. CHALLENGE: Work on projects that are a priority to the business and will challenge your skills and traditional manufacturing approaches. Participate in trainings to grow technical and business skills in lean manufacturing, data analytics, business acumen, project management, and presentation skills. IMPACT: You will experience a focus on impact from Day 1, with empowerment and responsibility for concrete results within a condensed timeframe. per year, base pay may vary by geographic region, internal equity, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. In addition to base salary, this position is eligible for an annual bonus. The targeted bonus amount is

of base salary. The Total Target Cash range (base pay and annual bonus) is
$74,883
to
$115,867 . Bonus payments are variable and not guaranteed.
