Overview
The Electrical Designer is responsible for design and drafting services that meet the client’s requirements and expectations while conforming to appropriate Codes and Standards for the associated project. Detailed designs and drawings include: Power & Electrical Distribution Electrical One-Line Diagrams Schematics Interconnection diagrams Plans - Lighting, Grounding, Power, Heat Tracing, etc. Conduit/Cable Schedules Electrical Details The design process includes visiting clients’ facilities and performing physical work such as walking, standing, climbing ladders, and lifting. Produce and revise electrical design and drafting deliverables in compliance with project codes and standards Develop Power & Electrical Distribution plans, schematics, and related diagrams Prepare conduit/cable schedules and electrical details Collaborate with project teams and clients to capture requirements Attend site visits and field measurements as needed Qualifications
Associate Degree in a technical discipline or equivalent Minimum two (2) years design/drafting experience; skilled in standard drafting techniques Proficient in 2-D CAD; 3-D CAD, Plant Design, Revit & other Autodesk products a plus Knowledge of or proficiency in field investigations and measurements Working knowledge of Codes and Standards Working knowledge of or familiarity with Microsoft Office products Ability to work independently Strong attention to detail and ability to self-check work Benefits
