Senior Electrical Hardware Design Engineer

to join our cross-disciplinary team responsible for designing advanced electronic hardware. You will play a pivotal role in developing new 3U VPX modules that enhance the capabilities and cyber-resilience of mission-critical systems. Join our Land and Air Systems team and design mission critical hardware for those who lead, protect, and serve the world we live in!

Responsibilities

Engage in requirements analysis, schematic capture, routing constraint definition, and oversight of PCB/PWB layout and routing.

Support manufacturing, integration, testing, and qualification phases.

Apply Siemens Xpedition for schematic entry, constraint management, and signal/power integrity analysis.

Collaborate cross-functionally with software, mechanical, and manufacturing teams throughout the development lifecycle.

Design high-performance PCBs/PWBs using advanced materials and packaging for high-speed interfaces (e.g., 10G+ Ethernet, PCIe Gen 4+).

Ensure compliance with VITA/VPX standards, including VITA 46 and VITA 65.

Use lab equipment such as oscilloscopes, multimeters, and other diagnostic tools for validation and troubleshooting.

Qualifications

U.S. Citizenship is required by Federal Law

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related STEM field and 8+ years of relevant experience (or 6+ years with a Master’s)

An understanding of the hardware development process throughout the lifecycle of a program, including design for manufacturing and design for test

Knowledge of Siemens Xpedition for schematic entry, constraint definition, and signal integrity/power integrity analysis

Experience designing PCBs/PWBs, including using advanced materials, packaging techniques, and high-speed interfaces (10G+ Ethernet, PCIe Gen 4+, etc.)

Experience using multimeters, oscilloscopes, and other lab test equipment
