We are looking for a Senior Director of Engineering to join the Product & Technology organization and lead core HCM services at scale. The Senior Director of Engineering is a pivotal leader within our product development organization. This role operates at the intersection of product vision, user experience design, and technical execution. You will collaborate closely with Product Management and Design to define strategic direction and ensure successful delivery of critical internal and external applications. We are seeking a strategic, innovative, and people-first engineering leader who thrives in a fast-paced environment. You will guide teams responsible for building core HCM services—including Payroll, Tax, Expense Management, Procurement, Payables, and Money Movement—ensuring solutions scale with our customers and meet evolving market needs. What You'll Do:
Set the long-term vision for engineering within the Office of the CFO and rally cross-functional teams around that vision. Drive innovation and execution across multiple product and platform teams. Foster a culture of ownership, curiosity, accountability, and high performance. Collaborate with product, design, and engineering peers to ensure seamless delivery of high-quality, scalable solutions. Champion engineering excellence, continuous improvement, and operational reliability. Build and grow inclusive, diverse, and high-performing teams; coach and develop future leaders. Represent engineering in strategic business conversations and contribute to product planning and growth initiatives. Who You Are:

Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience). 15+ years of experience in the HCM domain, including Payroll, Tax, Expense Management, Payables, and Money Movement. 10+ years leading multiple engineering teams, with at least 5 years managing organizations of 50+ people. 5+ years working in a global context across multiple time zones and cultures. Proven track record of leading large, high-performing teams and delivering complex products at scale. Strong business acumen, with the ability to align technology strategy to business objectives. Mastery in modern engineering practices, architectural patterns, and development frameworks. Hands-on experience with agile methodologies, cloud technologies, mobile platforms, and open source ecosystems. Demonstrated success in building stable, secure, and scalable systems with 24/7 operational demands.
