Commercial Contracts Counsel – SaaS Services
Moment is building the first operating system for fixed income, the largest financial market in the world valued at $150T+ globally. We work with the largest financial institutions to bring all of their fixed income operations into a single platform. The fixed income market is undergoing rapid transformation: electronic trading has skyrocketed, rising rates have sparked a surge in demand, financial institutions are partnering with fintechs, and AI advances are enabling workflow automation. Despite the market’s scale, most workflows remain manual. Moment is unlocking a new automation paradigm for the industry by unifying these workflows into one system. We're seeking an experienced attorney to join our legal team with a primary focus on drafting, reviewing, and negotiating commercial agreements related to SaaS solutions. The ideal candidate will bring strong commercial contracting experience, negotiation skills, and the ability to support business teams in complex transactions. In this role, you will: Draft, review, and negotiate commercial contracts, including SaaS subscription agreements and master service agreements. Partner with sales, product, and compliance teams to facilitate transactions while managing legal risk. Advise on contract interpretation and dispute resolution, ensuring compliance with applicable requirements. Develop contract templates, playbooks, and negotiation guidelines to streamline the contracting process. Monitor legal developments in commercial contracting and SaaS delivery models, and provide practical guidance to stakeholders. What We’re Looking For: Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school and admission to at least one U.S. state bar. Minimum 5 years post-law school experience, with at least 3 years focused on commercial agreements. Strong knowledge of contract law and commercial transactions, with experience in SaaS agreements preferred. Excellent drafting, analytical, and communication skills, with the ability to balance legal and business considerations. Preferred Qualifications: Exposure to regulatory issues under relevant acts. Experience working with financial services or fintech businesses. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team-oriented environment. We offer a competitive salary range of $200,000 to $250,000 + equity, as well as a comprehensive wellness package, flexible PTO policy, and 401k with employer match.
