Senior Strategic Advisor – F-35 Acquisition & Program Integration HII Mission Technologies is seeking a highly experienced Senior Strategic Advisor to provide expert-level guidance and strategic analysis in support of U.S. Government (USG) customers engaged in the F-35 Joint Strike Fighter program. This role demands deep expertise in defense acquisition, program integration, and strategic planning, with a proven ability to advise senior leadership across the Department of Defense (DoD), Joint Program Office (JPO), and intelligence communities. The ideal candidate will bring a blend of operational insight, acquisition acumen, and strategic foresight to support capability development, modernization planning, Foreign Military Sales (FMS), and warfighter integration. Exceptional writing and communication skills are essential for producing high-impact deliverables that shape decision-making at the highest levels. What You Will Do:

Provide high-level strategic and analytic support to USG customers, including senior decision-makers within the F-35 enterprise Deliver expert assessments and recommendations on F-35 capability integration, modernization priorities, and acquisition strategies Lead and contribute to war games, tabletop exercises, and strategic simulations focused on 5th-generation airpower and joint operations Conduct operational gap analyses to identify capability shortfalls and recommend mitigation strategies aligned with F-35 mission sets Support FMS initiatives by advising on partner nation integration, sustainment planning, and interoperability considerations Advise on federal acquisition strategies, requirements development, and procurement planning in support of F-35 lifecycle management Collaborate with cross-functional teams across engineering, logistics, sustainment, and operations to refine strategic concepts and program plans Author white papers, technical reports, acquisition documentation, and decision-support materials tailored for senior leadership Ensure written products are clear, persuasive, and aligned with USG standards, acquisition regulations, and strategic objectives What We're Looking For:

U.S citizen with an active TS/SCI/SAP clearance 15 years relevant experience with Bachelors in related field; 13 years relevant experience with Masters in related field; or 10 years relevant experience with PhD or Juris Doctorate in related field. Minimum of 15 years of experience supporting USG customers in defense acquisition, program management, or strategic planning roles Demonstrated expertise in DoD acquisition processes, including requirements development, contracting, and lifecycle management Proven ability to engage and influence Director-level and above stakeholders across DoD and industry Experience supporting war games, exercises, and strategic planning efforts related to airpower or joint force integration Strong analytical, communication, and presentation skills Exceptional writing skills with a portfolio of strategic, technical, or acquisition-related documents Ability to synthesize complex programmatic and operational data into actionable insights Preferred Requirements

Advanced degree in a relevant field (e.g., Engineering, Strategic Studies, National Security, Program Management) Prior military or government service in a strategic advisory or acquisition leadership capacity Experience with international defense cooperation and FMS processes, particularly within the F-35 program Familiarity with emerging technologies, threat environments, and 5th-generation air combat capabilities DAWIA certification or equivalent acquisition training is a plus PMI PMP certification Experience drafting acquisition strategies, Statements of Work (SOWs), or Analysis of Alternatives (AoAs) for major defense programs HII is more than a job - it’s an opportunity to build a new future.
