Position Summary

The Medicaid & Billing Coordinator is responsible for coordinating and processing all billing and Medicaid-related activities for residents within the CCRC, including those residing in Skilled Nursing Facilities (SNF) and Supportive Living Facilities (SLF). This position ensures accurate and timely billing, compliance with regulatory requirements, and serves as a liaison between residents, families, state agencies, and internal departments regarding Medicaid eligibility, applications, redeterminations, and reimbursements. Key Responsibilities

Point person for Medicaid Applications and Billing services as needed Monitor Medicaid applications, redeterminations, and spend-down processes, assisting residents and families in completing necessary paperwork and meeting deadlines. Review accounts receivable to identify and resolve billing errors, denials, or payment delays as directed Maintain accurate records of resident eligibility, coverage, and billing activity. Act as primary contact with state agencies and managed care organizations regarding Medicaid claims and eligibility matters. Collaborate with Admissions, Social Services, and Nursing to ensure timely collection of required documentation for Medicaid eligibility. Prepare and distribute monthly resident billing statements and reconcile accounts as directed. Assist with private pay, Medicare, and insurance billing as needed. Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements related to Medicaid and long-term care billing. Provide education and support to residents, families, and staff regarding Medicaid processes and financial responsibilities. Assist with maintaining up to date resident files throughout the continuum. Participate in audits, surveys, and compliance reviews as requested. Billing customer service assistance Other Medicaid and Billing functions as needed. Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business, Healthcare Administration, or related field preferred. Minimum 2–4 years of billing experience in a long-term care or healthcare setting required Demonstrated knowledge of Medicaid programs and billing requirements for both SLF and SNF required* Experience with Medicare and private insurance billing preferred Proficiency in PCC, RFMS and Microsoft Office Suite preferred Strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and ability to meet deadlines. Excellent communication and customer service skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with residents, families, and staff.
