Job Title: Java Backend Developer (Ex-Walmart Only) Location: Onsite Sunnyvale, CA or Bentonville, AR (3 days/week) Type: Long-term Contract Eligibility: Must be a former Walmart employee Responsibilities
Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend systems using Java and Spring Boot Build RESTful APIs and microservices to support frontend and mobile applications Optimize application performance and ensure high availability Collaborate with cross-functional teams including product, QA, and DevOps Implement best practices in coding, testing, and deployment Participate in code reviews and mentor junior developers Qualifications
Strong proficiency in Java, Spring Boot, and REST APIs Experience with cloud platforms (preferably Azure or Google Cloud Platform) Familiarity with Kafka, Redis, or other messaging/streaming systems Solid understanding of CI/CD pipelines, Docker, and Kubernetes Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments Prior experience at Walmart is mandatory
