The Sr. Payroll Specialist will bring a passion for payroll with deep knowledge of multi-state payroll processing, tax withholding, wage and hour, benefits and equity regulations as related to payroll compliance and auditing. They will serve as a subject matter expert ensuring the HR Operations/Payroll operation is compliant based on SOX, tax jurisdiction regulations, internal policies, processes, and programs. This is a critical, high visibility role processing a payroll for 2,500 employees and requiring high attention to detail, and a drive for continuous improvement. Effective from the date that Hasbro opens its new Boston location, this position will be onsite Tuesday – Thursday at Hasbro’s new HQ location in Boston, MA. In the interim, this position will be onsite Tuesday – Thursday at Hasbro’s HQ in Pawtucket, RI or at Hasbro’s temporary location in Boston, MA. Responsibilities
Process hourly and salaried payrolls for your assigned companies, applying a payroll checklist to ensure accuracy and timeliness. Assist with the review and validation of payroll transactions. Supervise and respond promptly to inquiries received in the corporate payroll inbox. Fulfill monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting requests. Act as a primary point of contact for general ledger discrepancies, audit support, and adjustment requests. Serve as a knowledge resource for the Payroll Representative on processing and ADP system questions. Support quarter-end and year-end payroll closeout activities. Familiarity with Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) compliance, including maintaining internal controls over payroll processes, ensuring audit readiness, and supporting documentation for financial reporting accuracy. Provide back up support for the Sr. Payroll Manager to ensure continuity of operations. Qualifications
A Bachelor’s degree in Finance or a related field, with 4 - 5 years of hands-on experience in payroll operations, ideally in a corporate setting for the United States and Canada. FPC or CPP designation with PAYO (formerly APA) preferred A deep understanding of multi-state tax laws and payroll compliance. Expertise in ADP payroll systems required; familiarity with ADP Vantage or Workforce Now preferred. Proficiency in SAP and related payroll/accounting platforms. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a collaborative and team-oriented approach. Strong analytical thinking with keen attention to detail. Ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment. The base salary range for this position is $72,600.00 to $108,800.00. The hiring range will vary based on factors such as experience, skills, location and market conditions.
