Responsibilities Develops, evaluates, and improves manufacturing methods and creates work instructions - documentation of processes/activities.
Analyzes and plans workforce utilization, space requirements, and workflow, and designs layout of equipment and workspace for maximum efficiency.
Leads change management activities and drives implementation of the same.
Confers with vendors to determine product specifications and arranges for the purchase of equipment, materials, or parts, and evaluates products according to specifications and quality standards.
Leads and manages continuous improvement projects, as well as mentoring junior engineers.
Works with offshore teams for Manufacturing Process Simulation.
Applies Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma tools and methodologies throughout the manufacturing facility and processes.
Drives the standardization of processes and implementation of metrics and best practices.
Confers with management, engineering, and other staff regarding manufacturing capabilities, production schedules, and other considerations to facilitate production processes.
Identifies and implements new technologies, specification of requirements, Capex justification, planning, and implementation.
Applies statistical methods to estimate future manufacturing requirements and potential.
Requirements Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university in mechanical engineering and five years of related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Prior experience in a manufacturing & assembly environment.
Demonstrated process improvement projects and outcomes.
