As we expand into North America, we are looking for an experienced Travel Manager to play a pivotal role in shaping our premium sports travel offerings. This is a unique opportunity to be part of our inaugural US team, delivering seamless, high-quality travel experiences that connect fans to the biggest sporting events in the world.
We’re seeking someone who is excited by the challenge of setting up travel operations in Miami, with the expertise, strategic mindset, and customer focus to design and execute outstanding travel packages.
The Role
As Travel Manager – North America, you will oversee the planning and operational delivery of premium travel programmes for major sporting events. Working closely with the Head of Event Operations, you will be responsible for ensuring world-class travel experiences that are operationally efficient, financially sustainable, and aligned with STH Group’s global premium experience standards.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Travel Programme Development
Work with the Head of Event Operations to design and implement innovative travel packages that seamlessly integrate with STH Group’s premium hospitality offerings.
Ensure all travel experiences align with STH Group’s strategic objectives, brand identity, and customer expectations.
Operational Excellence & Programme Delivery
Oversee the end-to-end execution of travel programmes, ensuring deadlines, budgets, and service levels are met.
Manage logistics, tour schedules, and supplier coordination to deliver seamless event experiences.
Maintain compliance with all travel regulations, risk management protocols, and contractual obligations.
Customer Experience & Service Innovation
Develop customer journey strategies that enhance pre-event, event, and post-event experiences across B2C, B2B, and OTA sales.
Continuously assess and improve customer planning processes to deliver outstanding service and repeat business.
Lead the management of Official Travel Agents (OTAs) to maximise sales opportunities while maintaining brand integrity and service excellence.
Build and maintain relationships with key suppliers, airlines, accommodation providers, and transport partners.
Work closely with event rightsholders and key stakeholders to ensure travel programmes align with wider event logistics.
Financial Oversight & Risk Management
Track financial performance against budgets, ensuring cost-effectiveness and profitability in travel operations.
Support procurement processes to secure competitive supplier contracts while maintaining high service standards.
Develop and maintain a project risk register, assisting in crisis management planning to ensure rapid response to challenges.
Conduct post-event reviews to evaluate travel programme effectiveness, gather insights, and refine future offerings.
Champion sustainable travel practices, ensuring environmentally responsible solutions align with STH Group’s social impact goals.
What We’re Looking For
Proven experience managing complex travel programmes, delivering seamless logistics and customer-centric experiences.
Strong ability to develop operational strategies, manage budgets, and optimise costs while maintaining high-quality standards.
Track record of successfully managing supplier and stakeholder relationships within the sports or travel industries.
Expertise in identifying potential risks and implementing mitigation strategies while ensuring regulatory compliance.
Ability to coordinate effectively across internal teams, suppliers, and external partners.
Passion for delivering world-class customer experiences with an innovative and proactive mindset.
Comfortable making fast, effective decisions in high-pressure, fast-paced event environments.
Additional Requirements
Must have the right to work in the US – no visa sponsorship is available for this role.
No relocation package is offered – the successful candidate should already be based in or willing to move to Miami at their own expense.
Flexibility to work extended or irregular hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays, as required.
