AdventHealth Tampa, a faith-based not-for-profit 626-bed tertiary-level acute care hospital located in the uptown district of Tampa, Florida, specializes in advanced cardiovascular medicine, neuroscience and neurology, digestive health, orthopedics, women's services, pediatrics, oncology, endocrinology, bariatrics, wound healing, sleep medicine and general surgery including minimally invasive and robot-assisted procedures. GME programs on the hospital campus currently include general surgery, obstetrics and gynecology, internal medicine and transitional year.

The role you'll contribute:

Assigns ICD-10-CM and ICD-10-PCS codes to hospital inpatient accounts utilizing Epic, the 3M Encoder and Dolbey Computer Assisted Coding programs. Will work with Coding leadership, Clinical Documentation Improvement specialists and the Coding Quality team to code and release accounts for the West Florida Division. Will work and resolve the chart correction issues daily and work with the team to ensure the Coding Department is within three days of discharge and meeting DNFC goals.

High School Grad or Equiv Required Technical/Vocational School Required 2+ Work Experience Required Registered Health Information Administrator (RHIA) Required or Registered Health Information Technician (RHIT) - Cert Required or Certified Coding Specialist (CCS) Required or Certified Professional Coder (CPC) Required Interested in working from home?
