AdventHealth Tampa is a faith-based not-for-profit 626-bed tertiary-level acute care hospital located in the uptown district of Tampa, Florida. It specializes in cardiovascular medicine, neuroscience and neurology, digestive health, orthopedics, women’s services, pediatrics, oncology, endocrinology, bariatrics, wound healing, sleep medicine and general surgery including minimally invasive and robot-assisted procedures. GME programs include general surgery, obstetrics and gynecology, internal medicine and transitional year. The hospital is home to the AdventHealth Pepin Heart Institute and the Kiran C. Patel Research Institute—leaders in cardiovascular care and clinical research.
The role you’ll contribute
The Team Leader supervises, coordinates and performs patient care delivery on the assigned nursing unit and meets Standards of Nursing Care for the assigned shift. Responsible for coordinating and planning shift activities to ensure standards of patient care are met. Acts as a clinical resource and role model. Participates in conducting performance appraisals for personnel on the assigned shift. The Registered Nurse provides self-directed, effective nursing care to groups of patients and other duties as assigned in accordance with Division of Nursing standards and pursuant to Florida Department of Professional Regulation requirements. Graduate of a school of nursing. 1 year experience as an RN in the specialty area. Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in Florida or licensure from another state with verification of application and eligibility for Florida licensure by endorsement. Valid certification BLS, ACLS.
