Senior Project Manager, Wastewater and Water at GFT in Richmond, VA. Hybrid work model with regular attendance at the Richmond office. What You Will Do
Join the Water / Wastewater Team and contribute to innovative solutions for sustainable water management and infrastructure, including dams and levees, advanced water and wastewater treatment, stormwater management, and conveyance, collection, and transmission. Collaborate with technical experts, project teams, and client service managers to advance technical services and support business development on wastewater and water resources projects in Virginia. Provide engineering leadership for water/wastewater utility projects for public and municipal utility district clients. Lead a team of engineers and technical professionals and participate in professional associations and community organizations. Responsibilities include: Prepare proposals, budgets, and client agreements Lead and oversee design and technical aspects of projects, including detailed engineering design and calculations, report writing, permitting, and client presentations Write responses to client RFQs and solicitations Develop and maintain professional relationships with clients, public agency officials and community leaders Coordinate and monitor project tasks, budgets, and schedules Participate in the development of company design and production standards Direct and manage project implementation with stakeholders, consultants, contractors, and other parties to achieve milestones Oversee construction phases to ensure completion per contract, on time and within budget Support client marketing and business development activities necessary to procure project assignments Mentor staff and lead development of other PMs Qualifications
Education & Experience Bachelor of Science in civil engineering from ABET-accredited program Professional Engineer (P.E.) designation in the State of Virginia 15+ years' experience managing substantial water and wastewater projects from conception to completion Strong project management skills and a proven track record of delivering projects on schedule and within budget What We Prefer You Bring Strong written and oral communication skills with experience in presentations and reporting Knowledge of potable water treatment and wastewater treatment a plus Knowledge of local codes, development processes, and utility regulations Ability to develop and maintain professional relationships with clients, public agency officials and community leaders Leadership of a team of engineers and technical professionals Active involvement in professional associations and civic organizations Compensation
The salary range for this role is $160,000 - $175,000, dependent upon experience and geographic location. Benefits
