As an Accounting Specialist, you will play a crucial role by preparing and booking general ledger journal entries, reconciling GL accounts, and analyzing related transactions.

Your Responsibilities as an Accounting Specialist:

  • Prepare and record general ledger journal entries.
  • Reconcile GL accounts and make necessary adjustments.
  • Maintain organized records and files of financial information.
  • Assist with variance analysis and financial reporting.
  • Facilitate various jurisdictional audits and respond to information requests.
  • Prepare and submit state, local, and other jurisdictional returns and reports.
  • Analyze and ensure compliance with accounting regulations.
  • Perform additional duties as needed.

Qualifications Needed:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in an accounting role.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.).
  • Experience with Oracle E-Business Suite is preferred.
  • Excellent analytical skills.
  • Strong communication abilities, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • Proficiency in reading, writing, and understanding English, ensuring compliance with workplace safety and operational standards.
