Key Responsibilities of a Senior General Superintendent | Commercial Construction | Houston Lead Field Operations: Provide overall direction for field teams across one or multiple large-scale projects. Project Execution: Ensure schedules, budgets, and quality standards are met while maintaining strong safety performance. Team Leadership: Mentor and manage project superintendents, assistant supers, and field staff. Subcontractor & Trade Oversight: Coordinate and hold subcontractors accountable for performance, safety, and sequencing. Client & Stakeholder Interface: Act as the primary field representative with owners, architects, engineers, and executive leadership. Scheduling & Planning: Oversee project sequencing, logistics, and look-ahead schedules to anticipate and resolve issues. Problem Solving: Identify risks, troubleshoot conflicts, and implement solutions in real time to keep projects on track. A Successful Senior General Superintendent | Commercial Construction | Houston 15+ years in commercial construction with a proven track record of leading large, complex ground-up projects (high-rises, healthcare, hospitality, civic/institutional, etc.). Demonstrated ability to lead and mentor multiple superintendents, foremen, and field teams across large projects. Deep knowledge of building systems, sequencing, scheduling (Primavera, MS Project, etc.), and construction means/methods. Strong background in enforcing safety programs (OSHA) and ensuring high-quality standards. Skilled in representing the company to owners, architects, engineers, and executive leadership. Capable of handling field challenges under pressure and driving solutions that keep projects on schedule and within budget.
