***Position is 80% Remote in Columbia, SC. 1-2 days/week will be Onsite***
Scope of Work: The Agency is looking for an experienced developer to enhance the agency's intranet and to improve business operational efficiencies by leveraging integrations with Microsoft's Power Platform. Developer will help with troubleshooting issues, identifying root causes, and finding solutions to ensure the current/future development functions smoothly and meets the agency's needs. Daily Duties / Responsibilities: Works under limited supervision in leading the maintenance and enhancements to the agency's intranet including analysis, requirements, systems and UI/UX design, planning and developing. Includes site provisioning, web parts, workflows and branding. Leverages existing M365 tools such as the MS Power Suite, MS Teams, SharePoint, etc. to enhance collaboration within the agency's M365 ecosystem. Designs and implements PowerApps and PowerAutomate flows to automate business processes. Develops solutions to be accessible and user-friendly on both desktop computers and mobile devices. Develops technical documentation to enable the agency's help desk and technicians to provide ongoing support. Works with system administrators to ensure security controls are in place. Maximizes security controls using industry best practices. Develops user documentation. Complies with agency policies; CJIS security guidance; state security standards. Conducts formal and informal meetings communicating directly with the IT team, business employees, and vendor partners. Leads technical workshops and knowledge transfer sessions on SharePoint and PowerPlatform customization, automation, and modernization. Provides guidance to the team on best practices of SharePoint and PowerPlatform governance. Supports DevOps-based environment management (Dev, Test, UAT, Prod) with controlled releases. Provides weekly status reports to management. Required Skills (Rank in Order of Importance):
At least 10 years SharePoint development experience. Proficiency in SharePoint Online and Office 365: the developer should have a strong understanding of SharePoint Online and Office 365 features, functionality, and capabilities. Experience in designing and developing intranets: the developer should have experience in designing and developing intranets using SharePoint 365, including creating custom layouts, features, and functionalities. Knowledge of SharePoint customization: the developer should be skilled in customizing SharePoint sites, lists, libraries, workflows, and web parts to meet specific business requirements. 4+ years Power Suite expertise: proficiency in utilizing Office 365 Power Suite (Power Automate, Power BI) and add-ons to enhance functionality, automate processes, and streamline. 4+ years of expertise in programming languages such as C#.Net, JavaScript, html, CSS, PowerShell, and JQuery or similar frameworks. Understanding of information architecture: the developer should have a good understanding of information architecture principles to organize and structure content effectively within the intranet. Security and compliance knowledge: the developer should be familiar with security best practices and compliance standards related to SharePoint Online to ensure the intranet is secure and compliant. Communication and collaboration skills: the developer should have strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with stakeholders, gather requirements, and provide training and support to end-users. Problem-solving abilities: the developer should be able to troubleshoot issues, identify root causes, and find solutions to ensure the intranet functions smoothly and meets the agency's needs. Personalization skills: experience in implementing personalized user experiences within the intranet, such as content targeting, user-specific dashboards, and customized notifications, to enhance user engagement and productivity. Developer should possess a diverse set of technical skills, experience, and qualifications to effectively design, develop, and implement an intranet using SharePoint Online. Strong user interface (UI) and user experience (UX) knowledge and skills. Effective interpersonal skills. Proactive and self-motivated. Preferred Skills (Rank in Order of Importance):
Microsoft Copilot integrations M365 adoption strategy and roadmap development Gamification knowledge: understanding of gamification principles and the ability to incorporate gamified elements into the intranet to engage users, drive adoption, and promote collaboration Required Education:
Bachelor's degree or master's degree in computer science, information systems/technology management or related discipline with degree/certificate or equivalent work experience. Preferred Certifications:
