Requirements
OVERALL RESPONSIBILITY:
The Mechanical & Electrical Assembler is responsible for assembling, wiring, and testing mechanical and electrical components and systems. This role requires a good understanding of mechanical systems, electrical wiring, schematics, and hands-on fabrication skills. The assembler plays a key role in ensuring product quality, functionality, and safety and functions in alignment with the Company values and operating philosophy.
ACCOUNTABILITIES:
Assembly & Fabrication
Assemble mechanical components, subassemblies, and systems using hand tools, power tools, and precision instruments. Perform electrical wiring and component installation based on schematics, diagrams, and work instructions. Ensure proper alignment, fit, and function of assembled parts. Quality
Inspect and test completed assemblies for accuracy, performance, and compliance with specifications. Identify and report defects or non-conformities and assist in corrective actions. Follow safety protocols and maintain compliance with company and industry standards. Documentation & Communication
Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and wiring diagrams. Maintain accurate records of work performed, materials used, and issues encountered. Communicate effectively with engineering, production, and quality teams to resolve assembly challenges. Continuous Improvement
Participate in process improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency, quality, and safety. Suggest tools, techniques, or methods to improve assembly workflows. Maintenance & Housekeeping
Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition. QUALIFICATIONS (Education, Certifications and Required Experience):
High School diploma or GED Read and interpret complex drawings required to complete custom work Good physical stamina Ability to work independently and perform assigned tasks with minimal instruction Steel plate forming and welding experience is a plus. DEMONSTRATED CRITICAL COMPETENCIES:
Initiative - Identifying what needs to be done and doing it before being asked or before the situation requires it. Personal Credibility - Be reliable and trustworthy. Results Oriented - The ability to focus on a desired result Thoroughness - Ensuring work and information is complete and accurate PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Heavy Work - Must be able to exert up to 100 pounds occasionally and 50 pounds frequently. Frequent standing and walking. Bending/Stooping - Bending body downward and forward by bending spine at the waist. Full motion of the body, lower extremities and back muscles. Ability to run a sand rammer for extended periods of time. Respirator - Must be able to use a respirator and may be exposed to dust and fumes.
