Job Title: Quality Inspector
Job Description
The Quality Control Inspector is responsible for inspecting, auditing, and reporting on materials, processes, and products using various measuring instruments and techniques to ensure they meet the organization’s quality standards. The role involves ensuring that products or services are consistent and fit for purpose, meeting both external and internal requirements, including compliance with internal specifications and customer expectations.
Responsibilities
Monitor assembly and service processes to ensure compliance and that processes are being followed and are in control.
Utilize the ERP system to access information such as part drawings, routings, and instructions as needed.
Locate work instructions, assembly instructions, drawings, and other necessary information in the database.
Correctly interpret internal or customer requirements from drawings and other documentation.
Understand work order packets, ensuring traceability of parts and proper sign-off of routing operations.
Inspect parts to required inspection levels per internal or customer specified requirements.
Measure parts using calipers and other equipment with a strong understanding of measuring units, especially millimeters and inches.
Use a microscope to inspect small parts as necessary.
Assist in packaging of parts, ensuring compliance with all quality and customer standards.
Essential Skills
Inspection and quality control expertise.
Good understanding of measuring units and ability to compare data to customer specifications to ensure within tolerances.
Proficiency in reading blueprints.
Experience with micrometers.
Visual inspection skills.
Assembly knowledge.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $18.00/hr.
