A confidential manufacturing organization, specializing in the defense industry, is seeking an experienced
Powder Coat Technician
to join its team. This role focuses on preparing and finishing metal parts for high-quality powder coating in a modern production environment.
Key Responsibilities Prepare parts for powder application (hanging, washing, plugging, scrubbing, taping, sanding). Perform powder coating and color changeovers to meet quality and efficiency standards. Calibrate, maintain, and troubleshoot coating equipment. Inspect finished work and document results per quality procedures. Assist with preventive maintenance and continuous improvement efforts. Work independently and maintain safe operations in a busy production setting. Qualifications 2+ years of powder coating or industrial painting experience preferred. VantageClear Certification or equivalent required. Ability to read blueprints, safety rules, and basic work instructions. Strong mechanical aptitude and basic math skills. Able to lift up to 25 lbs. and stand for extended periods. Associate or technical degree a plus.
