Position Summary
Provide senior-level administrative and records management support for the client. The role serves as Records Management Custodian, ensuring compliant creation, maintenance, retention, and disposition of records, supporting FOIA information management, staff training, and customer service delivery across the agency.
Key Responsibilities
Serve as Records Management (RM) Custodian; maintain records in accordance with federal laws, regulations, and agency policies.
Lead FOIA-related information management in coordination with agency stakeholders.
Develop, implement, and maintain RM policies, procedures, and retention schedules.
Evaluate RM and administrative program effectiveness; recommend and implement improvements.
Deliver training and technical assistance to staff on RM and administrative procedures.
Maintain and utilize databases and systems for records inventory, tracking, and reporting.
Provide exemplary written and verbal communications and quality customer service.
Support physical records handling; move files/boxes as needed to support operations.
Provide on-site technical support during events, including AV troubleshooting.
Perform administrative services such as office management, facilities coordination, HR-related support, and policy/procedure upkeep.
Required Qualifications
At least 10 total years of related work experience. At least 5 years of dedicated records management experience, including FOIA information management. Demonstrated experience creating and implementing RM policies, procedures, and retention schedules. Demonstrated experience evaluating program effectiveness and recommending improvements. Experience providing training and technical assistance to staff. Strong computer skills (databases, word processing, and data entry). Excellent written and verbal communication skills; commitment to innovative, quality customer service. Physical ability to move large numbers of files and/or file boxes. Experience with AV equipment support during events. Experience in administrative services such as office management, facilities management, HR, and/or policies and procedures. Bachelor's degree in business, information management, or related field; relevant certifications preferred. RM training or certification preferred.
