Job Title: General Production Worker

Job Description

As a General Production Worker, you will primarily be responsible for traveling to job sites to service and repair pumps. Your role will involve performing preventative maintenance, such as changing oils, checking spark plugs, and inspecting mechanical issues. A strong mechanical ability and familiarity with diesel-powered equipment are essential, along with a willingness to learn and set up equipment correctly.

Responsibilities

Travel to job sites to service and repair pumps.

Perform preventative maintenance, including oil changes and inspection of mechanical issues.

Change oils, check spark plugs, change gas lines, and inspect other mechanical issues.

Perform physical tasks such as lifting and carrying up to 70 pounds, standing, walking, bending, and squatting.

Communicate clearly via cell phone or two-way radio transmitter.

Read maps and navigate to job sites efficiently.

Set up equipment correctly and perform maintenance tasks as needed.

Essential Skills

Basic mechanical ability and working knowledge of diesel-powered equipment.

Good sense of direction and ability to read a map.

Basic reading and mathematical skills.

Ability to communicate clearly on a cell phone or two-way radio transmitter.

Mechanical aptitude for working on generators, pumps, and small diesel engines.

Clean driving record.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Forklift certification preferred.

Hazmat endorsement preferred.

MSHA and OSHA trained.

Experience in a similar role, ideally in an auto shop, is beneficial.

Own tools for mechanical work.

Work Environment

You will be working outside in the sun, setting up pumps for customers and dealing with various weather conditions. Initially, you will shadow a field service mechanic before working independently. The work site may occasionally be dusty, depending on conditions.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Orlando, Florida.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $25.00/hr.
