Job Title: General Production Worker

Job Description

Join our team as a General Production Worker, where you will be responsible for setting up rolling mills, including calibration and cleaning, and operating equipment to roll various metal alloys into desired shapes and thicknesses. You will be feeding raw materials into machines, handling finished products, and using tools like micrometers and calipers for measurement. Your role includes continuously monitoring machine operation, identifying and correcting any issues, and making adjustments to ensure consistent quality. You will also inspect finished products to ensure they meet quality standards and specifications and perform basic preventative maintenance on machines.

Responsibilities

Set up and calibrate rolling mills and clean equipment.

Operate equipment to roll metal alloys into specific shapes and thicknesses.

Feed raw materials into machines and handle finished products.

Use micrometers and calipers for precise measurement.

Continuously monitor machine operations and make necessary adjustments.

Identify and correct operational issues to maintain consistent quality.

Inspect finished products for quality and specification adherence.

Perform basic preventative maintenance, including changing rolls and cleaning equipment.

Essential Skills

Experience in machine operation or rolling is preferred.

Mechanical aptitude and understanding of machine functions.

Attention to detail for ensuring product accuracy and quality.

Ability to stand for extended periods and lift moderate to heavy weights.

Strong problem-solving skills to address issues during the rolling process.

Effective communication skills to collaborate with team members.

A high school diploma or GED is typically required.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Experience with hand tools, calipers, micrometers, and overhead cranes.

Familiarity with quality checks and machine setups.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Richburg, South Carolina.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $20.00/hr.
