This is a
3-month contract-to-hire position
with a major engine and generator manufacturer. You will be responsible for assembling large generator enclosure systems used for backup power at places like hospitals and data centers.
Shift & Pay: First Shift:
Monday - Friday and every other Saturday, 5:00 AM - 3:30 PM CST at
$21/hr Second Shift:
Monday - Friday and every other Saturday, 4:00 PM - 2:30 AM CST at
$23/hr
($21/hr + $2/hr shift differential) What You'll Be Doing:
Complete a 4-week training program on the entire assembly process, from the base to the final roof assembly. Use provided hand and power tools (drills, torque wrenches, hammers, etc.) to complete assembly tasks. Assemble power generator casings, including alternators, brackets, flywheels, and other components. What We're Looking For:
Experience using hand and power tools in a professional or home setting. Ability to read a tape measure. Be prepared for a measuring assessment during your interview! Comfortable climbing ladders, as this is required for assembly of tall generators. Comfortable working with insulation. Ability to lift 40 lbs regularly and work on your feet for extended periods. Must own a pair of steel-toed boots to start. A great attitude and commitment to attendance. Why Work with Us?
