Job Title: Production Worker

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Production Worker responsible for performing all operations related to the receiving, shipping, storage, and drying of grain. The role also includes assisting in routine maintenance of all equipment.

Responsibilities

Weigh and grade inbound grain using both computer and manual tools.

Work outdoors in all weather conditions, loading and unloading trucks and rail cars.

Collaborate as a team member, motivating others to work together.

Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members.

Assist in performing routine preventative maintenance of equipment, which requires climbing to the top of grain storage bins (approximately 150 feet) and using grease guns and other hand and power tools.

Maintain the housekeeping of grain elevator and grounds in compliance with government and company standards.

Commit to achieving a zero-injury culture and follow company safety procedures.

Exhibit regular and prompt attendance.

Demonstrate self-starting abilities and high initiative.

Perform all other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Essential Skills

Ability to lift at least fifty (50) pounds and perform various physical activities such as walking, bending, kneeling, lifting, grasping, pushing, and pulling.

Comfortable with climbing ladders and working at heights.

Willingness to work overtime, irregular hours, weekends, and holidays as required.

Basic computer skills.

Mechanical aptitude.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

High school diploma or GED equivalent desired, but not required.

Experience working in a grain elevator is preferred.

Basic computer skills with at least 6 months of experience.

Mechanical aptitude with at least 6 months of experience.

Knowledge of government regulations.

Some manufacturing or agricultural experience is preferred.

Welding or metalworking skills are a plus.

Work Environment

This role involves working outdoors in all weather conditions and occasionally inside one of the sheds. It requires adherence to safety regulations and the ability to work in a physically demanding environment.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Wichita, Kansas.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.50 - $18.50/hr.
