Position Summary:
This position is on a
rotation
basis. This position encompasses different roles in order to expose employees to new knowledge, skills and perspectives. For employee's growth and longevity here Baldor, it is necessary to learn all roles and functions of the Warehouse. Warehouse Associate II is a trainable position, which helps shape employees into the more complex roles within Receiving, Order Selection, Bin Audit, and Quality Control.
The rotation is as follows:
WAREHOUSE ASSOCIATE II
FC Picker FC Receiver Bin Audit Jr. Receiver Quality Control
*Essential Job Functions: Must be able to work in various temperatures, freezer (-35), grocery, and cooler (30 to 40 degrees Fahrenheit). Must be able to stand for long hours. (10 hours min.) Must be to bend, twist, climb, and lift 5 to 20 lbs. constantly, 15 to 30 lbs. frequently, and 30 to 50 lbs. occasionally Must be able to stand and walk 7 to 10 hours per day Must be able to work six days per week and sometimes a shift with over twelve hours Must be able to work a rotational schedule with mandatory overtime Must have a clear understanding of HACCP, GMP, and OSHA guidelines in order to work safely and efficiently * Position Duties and Responsibilities:
FC PICKER oMust be able to interpret instructions from WMS and RF devices to accurately and efficiently pick orders oMust have a clear and thorough understanding of GMP, HACCP, and OSHA regulations in order to complete work in a safe, compliant, and efficient manner oMust have a good understanding of produce product knowledge in order to accurately identify product oOperate warehouse equipment in a secure and considerate manner oMaintain sanitation standards oMust be watchful of warehouse conditions by observing, reporting, and correcting all hazardous and unclean conditions that could cause a co-worker or client accident oCapable of examining and inspecting stock items for accuracy oProperly maintains merchandise in stock location oReports damages to supervisor oAble to maintain an average pick rate of 100 cases per hour oPerforms visual and operational vehicle security inspections oSafely operates all warehouse equipment to prevent damages or injuries oWork with Fresh Cuts Department to accurately pick orders oUnderstands how to build a proper pallet, following GMP and HACCP Standards oMust be able to build pallets proactively to prevent product damage oArrives to work on time and consistently
FC RECEIVER oMust be able to interpret instructions from WMS and RF devices accurately and efficiently oMust have a clear and thorough understanding of GMP, HACCP, and OSHA regulations in order to complete work in a safe, compliant, and efficient manner oMust work closely with the Fresh Cuts Department in order to receive all finished product oKnows when to report shorts, damages or defects to the receiving manager oUnderstands LIFO or FIFO methodology and knows how and where to store newly received products oUse a pallet jack and/or stand up forklift when needed. oSafely operates all warehouse equipment to prevent damages or injuries oGood understanding of Warehouse layout in order to run product oAccurately locate items in Warehouse according to PO and other corresponding labels oCommunicate consistently and efficiently with Receiving team oHandle and package product carefully and in a sanitary manner oMust be able to build pallets proactively to prevent product damage oSafely operates all warehouse equipment to prevent damages or injuries oResponsible for making sure the quality of the produce is good before it goes out oMust be able to enter data in an accurately detailed manner oArrives to work on time and consistently BIN AUDIT oAccurately record not only the physical count but also the physical state of inventory locations. oResponsible for interfacing and supporting their fellow IC teammates including a team of IC oStrong organizational skills with a very high level of attention to detail. oAbility to learn and understand location/aisle/area naming conventions within the facility. oAbility to learn and understand receiving/picking/replenishment processes within the facility, specifically understanding the completion of system transactions and overall impact to inventory. oAbility to work well with others outside the department. oAbility to instruct other associates on the proper way of executing system transactions and perform documented procedures. oAbility to constantly life and move parts/boxes/containers as needed to complete physical counts oAbility to lift at least fifty pounds as required while completing physical audits. oSafely operates all warehouse equipment to prevent damages or injuries oProactive about communicating with Sanitation in regards to waste oMust always follow all GMP and HACCP rules and regulations. oArrives to work on time and consistently JR.
