We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Mechanical Assembler to join our dynamic team. Required Qualifications
1-4 years of work experience in mechanical assembly or related field Proficiency in automotive maintenance Strong skills in mechanical assembly Expertise in using hand and power tools High school diploma or equivalent; technical school certification is a plus Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and work instructions Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality Excellent problem-solving skills Good communication and teamwork abilities Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds
Key Responsibilities
Mechanical Assembly:
Assemble mechanical components, subassemblies, and final products according to specifications and quality standards Follow detailed work instructions, assembly drawings, and engineering specifications Ensure proper fit, alignment, and function of assembled parts Perform basic machining operations as needed, such as drilling, tapping, and deburring Use various hand tools, power tools, and specialized equipment in the assembly process
Quality Control:
Conduct visual and functional inspections of assembled components and products Use measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges to verify dimensions and tolerances Identify and report any defects, discrepancies, or quality issues Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product quality and assembly efficiency
Automotive Maintenance:
Apply automotive maintenance knowledge to assembly processes and troubleshooting Assist in maintaining and repairing assembly equipment and tools Provide insights on improving assembly processes based on automotive maintenance experience
Documentation and Reporting:
Maintain accurate records of completed assemblies, quality checks, and any issues encountered Document assembly procedures and contribute to the development of work instructions Report daily progress and any production challenges to supervisors
Teamwork and Communication:
Collaborate effectively with team members, engineers, and other departments Participate in team meetings
