Position Summary
Perform complex program administrative support and coordination for and in coordination with the Liquor Hearing Officer and the Director of City Council Services. Assist in overseeing and directing office activities relating to the local option liquor licensing program of the City Council; may act as liaison between the City Council Services Department, the City Council Liquor Hearing Officer, City Departments and staff, and outside agencies and the general public. This is an unclassified at-will position. Job descriptions are intended to present a general list of tasks/duties performed by employees within this job classification. Job Descriptions are not intended to reflect all duties performed within the job. Minimum Education, Experience And Additional Requirements
Education and experience directly related to the minimum requirements below may be interchangeable on a year for year basis. Associate's degree from an accredited college or university in Business Administration or a two (2) year technical certificate in office administration;
and
Four (4) years of program administration experience.
ADDITIONALREQUIREMENTS:
Possession of a valid New Mexico Driver's License or the ability to obtain by date of hire.
Possession of a City Operator's Permit (COP) within 6 months from date of hire. Possession of a valid City's Cash Handling Certificate within thirty (30) days from date of hire.
Possession of, or ability to obtain, a valid Notary Certification within six (6) months from date of hire.
May be required to work flexible hours, including evening meetings. Preferred Knowledge
Office procedures, methods and equipment including a computer and applicable software programs Business letter writing and basic report preparation Principles of New Mexico local option liquor licensing, and the City of Albuquerque's Alcoholic Liquors Ordinance Principles and practices of purchasing Principles and procedures of financial record keeping and reporting Basic principles of accounting English usage, spelling, grammar and punctuation Pertinent Federal, State and local laws, codes and ordinances Principles and procedure of modern personnel systems Legislative processes and procedures Preferred Skills & Abilities
Plan, organize and schedule office priorities Perform responsible and complex administrative work involving the use of independent judgment and personal initiative Interpret and apply City policies and procedures Communicate clearly and concisely Establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with those contacted in the course of work Perform the essential functions of the job with or without reasonable accommodation
