Job Overview

The Level 2 Production Operator - Press Fit operates press fit equipment with increased responsibility, ensuring high-quality PCB assembly while mentoring Level 1 operators. This role monitors production for efficiency, identifies minor process improvements, performs preventive maintenance, and actively supports training and cross-training initiatives.

2. Primary Responsibilities

1. Press Fit Machine Operation

Operate press fit machines to assemble PCBs with minimal supervision. Ensure proper selection, preparation, and placement of electrical components. Monitor the press fit process for quality and consistency. 2. Quality & Equipment Maintenance

Perform routine maintenance and minor troubleshooting of press fit equipment. Ensure alignment of PCBs, tooling, and components to prevent defects. Report equipment issues and recommend improvements. 3. Team Support & Mentoring

Train and guide Level 1 operators in press fit operations and quality standards. Share best practices and troubleshooting tips. Support cross-training efforts across other production areas. 4. Process Improvement

Identify minor inefficiencies or bottlenecks in press fit operations. Suggest and implement process improvements under supervisor guidance. 5. Safety & Compliance

Follow all safety, ESD, and quality control protocols. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area. 3. Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent. 2+ years of PCB assembly or press fit experience in manufacturing. Proficiency in operating press fit equipment independently. Ability to train and mentor less experienced operators. Strong attention to detail, manual dexterity, and hand-eye coordination. Basic computer skills for equipment operation and reporting. Ability to lift up to 25 pounds and stand for extended periods.

Pay Range: $19.00/ Hour - $27.00/ Hour
