Production Operator 2 - Touch-up Rework (Swing Shift)

Job Overview: Intermediate-level role responsible for performing skilled touch-up rework tasks related to SMT operations with minimal supervision. Ensures quality workmanship to IPC-A-610 standards while supporting team training and efficiency improvements.

Key Responsibilities:

Perform advanced hand soldering and touch-up rework on SMT and through-hole components (including BGA, ICs, and jumper wires). Remove/install components per IPC-A-610 and process instructions. Touch up solder joints, trim leads, and clean PCBs using approved methods. Execute rework based on ECOs, Process Deviations, and MPI instructions using appropriate solder/flux types (Leaded/RoHS). Install and hand solder 2nd ops and SMT parts/components as required per documented processes. Inspect completed work against Class 3 workmanship criteria (latest revision). Communicate and troubleshoot quality issues with Production Leader. Mentor Level 1 operators in soldering techniques and quality practices. Actively participate in cross-training for production flexibility. Qualifications:

3-5 years manufacturing experience in electronics assembly. Strong working knowledge of components, polarity, and soldering techniques. Proficient in IPC-A-610 and J-STD-001 standards (certification preferred). Skilled in ESD and board handling best practices.

Salary Range: $20.00/Hour - $28.00/Hour
