The Department of Health Services (DHS) , Central Wisconsin Center (CWC) is recruiting for a Plumber.
CWC provides short-term and long-term residential services to assist people living with intellectual disabilities in acquiring the personal skills needed to reach their highest potential. CWC is located at 317 Knutson Drive on the North side of Madison.

As the Plumber, you will perform a wide variety of duties in installation, maintenance, and repair of water lines, sewer lines, water heaters and toilet fixtures.
Salary Information
Pay is based on the number of leave hours selected in accordance with the Trade Rates Booklet in effect at time of appointment. $51.08 per hour if 100 hours of leave, $50.27 per hour if 140 hours of leave, or $49.49 per hour if 180 hours of leave.
A 12-month probationary period is required.
Job Details
All applicants who may be appointed will be required to allow DHS to conduct a background check to determine whether the circumstances of any conviction may be related to the job being filled. All appointees will be required to receive a TB test, which will be administered by CWC or medical personnel approved by the facility prior to their start date. DHS does not sponsor work visas for these positions, thus, in compliance with federal law, selected candidates will be required to verify eligibility to work in the United States by completing the required I-9 form upon hire. Must meet the requirements of the State of Wisconsin Fleet Vehicle Policy which requires a valid driver's license, minimum two years of driving experience and must be 18 years of age or older. Additionally, the driving record must not reflect the following conditions: three or more moving violations and/or at fault accidents in the past two years, an OWI or DUI violation within the past 12 months, or suspension or revocation of the driver's license.
Qualifications
Minimally qualified applicants
must possess and maintain or be eligible to obtain licensure as a Journeyman Plumber or Master Plumber by Wisconsin Department of Safety and Professional Services (DSPS). Eligible means you hold licensure in another state and can obtain WI licensure prior to appointment.
In addition,
well-qualified applicants
will have experience with service plumbing and fixture installation.
