Job Title: SAP S/4HANA Product Costing Lead Location: St Louis, MO – Remote 25% travel (1 week every month) About the Role We are seeking an experienced SAP S/4HANA Product Costing Lead to drive the design, implementation, and optimization of costing solutions within a manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in product costing, material ledger, and manufacturing process integration to enable accurate cost transparency and decision-making across plants. Key Responsibilities Lead end-to-end implementation of SAP S/4HANA Product Costingwithin a manufacturing setup. Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather requirements and design costing processes aligned with operational and financial objectives. Configure Product Cost Planning (PCP), Actual Costing, Material Ledger, and Cost Object Controlling (CO-PC). Integrate costing with Production Planning (PP), Materials Management (MM), and Finance (FI/CO). Define costing structures for plants, BOMs, routings, and activity types. Support month-end closing processes, including variance analysis, settlement, and reconciliations. Provide expertise on standard, actual, and transfer pricing approachesin a multi-plant/global setup. Lead workshops, prepare documentation, and conduct knowledge transfer/training sessions. Act as the primary liaison between business teams, technical teams, and external partners during implementation and post go-live support. Required Skills & Experience Minimum 8 yearsof SAP Controlling experience, with at least 3 full-cycle S/4HANA Product Costing implementations. Strong knowledge of CO-PC (Product Costing), Material Ledger, and Actual Costingin manufacturing environments. Hands-on experience integrating with MM, PP, and FI Deep understanding of BOMs, routings, production orders, and activity-based costing. Proven ability to design costing solutions for multi-plant operations. Excellent problem-solving and stakeholder management skills. Strong communication and documentation abilities. Preferred Qualifications Experience in discrete, process, or hybrid manufacturing industries. Exposure to profitability analysis (CO-PA)and group reporting.
