The Director of Development is a key member of The Haven’s team, responsible for building and sustaining the financial foundation that allows the ministry to fulfill its mission of providing residential care and holistic support for single, pregnant young women. Reporting to the Executive Director, this role leads all aspects of fund development, donor relations, grants, events, communications, and community partnerships. This is both a strategic and relational role. It requires a visionary fundraiser who can craft long-term strategies while also cultivating authentic relationships with donors, churches, and community leaders. Fund Development & Strategy Develop and implement comprehensive, multi-channel fundraising plans to meet and exceed annual revenue targets. Launch and grow a monthly giving program. Build and manage a development calendar and fundraising pipeline, including grants, major gifts, corporate sponsorships, and planned giving. Identify, research, and pursue new funding opportunities aligned with The Haven’s mission. Provide strategic insights and regular development reports to the Executive Director. Support or lead future capital campaign efforts in partnership with leadership as the organization grows. Donor Relations & Stewardship Build and steward strong, lasting relationships with individuals, foundations, and corporate donors. Lead all donor acknowledgment, including personalized thank-you letters, handwritten notes, phone calls, and impact reporting. Develop compelling proposals and presentations aligned with donor interests. Church & Community Partnerships Assist the Executive Director with researching, recruiting, and securing new church partners. Build meaningful relationships with pastors and church leaders to cast vision and gain support. Represent The Haven at community events, forums, and speaking engagements. Plan fundraising and awareness events with the support of staff and volunteers. Comfortably speak at gatherings, representing The Haven with professionalism and passion. Communications & Brand Visibility Partner with the Executive Director to craft donor communications, newsletters, appeals, digital content, press releases, and marketing materials. Grant Writing & Management

- Will still consider candidates that do not have this experience. Research, write, and manage compelling grant proposals for private, corporate, and government funders. Deepen relationships with current foundations while cultivating new opportunities. Work primarily in the community we serve, spending significant time engaging directly with donors, churches, partners, and volunteers. Collaborate closely with the Executive Director, Board, and program staff to align fundraising strategies with organizational priorities. Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required. Minimum of 5 years of experience in nonprofit fundraising, development, sales, or a related field. Proven success in donor development and strategic fundraising. Grant writing experience preferred. Strong communication and public speaking skills; able to inspire individuals and groups. Excellent organizational and project management skills; able to manage multiple responsibilities with flexibility and adaptability. Experience in donor management software/CRM and Google Workspace. Experience with Neon CRM preferred. Active involvement in the Christian community; member in good standing of a local church whose Statement of Beliefs aligns with The Haven’s. High degree of personal integrity, emotional maturity, and a genuine interest in others. Reliable personal vehicle and valid driver’s license required for daily travel in Metro Atlanta and across Georgia. Work Schedule

Full-time position with flexibility to work evenings and weekends as required. Extended hours may be needed for events, meetings, or emergencies. Monthly leadership calls and occasional Board meetings required. Compensation & Benefits

Competitive salary, commensurate with experience and expected hours. Health insurance stipend available if working 35+ hours per week. Note: Open to experienced candidates at part time or with the need for flex hours. Mileage reimbursement for work-related travel.
