Overview
Product Owner Our team has partnered with a SaaS company focused on improving transportation safety and efficiency to identify a Product Owner to join their team. This role will focus on the development of their Web and API platform and requires an adaptable individual who takes initiative and has excellent critical thinking skills. This role partners with product managers, development teams, and various stakeholders to transform the product vision into impactful, customer-focused solutions. This role reports into a Product Manager. Salary:
$115,000 – $134,000 (depending on experience) + full benefits (medical/dental/vision/401k match + more) Location:
Hybrid (2-3 days onsite) in Phoenix AZ
Responsibilities
Define and manage the product backlog, ensuring it aligns with overall product strategy and company objectives.
Prioritize features, epics, and user stories to maximize value delivered in each sprint.
Work closely with engineering and cross-functional partners to ensure timely, high-quality delivery of features that meet user requirements.
Clearly articulate and refine backlog items so they are fully understood, appropriately scoped, and well estimated.
Facilitate Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, backlog grooming, and discovery workshops, turning requirements into actionable stories.
Decompose large initiatives into clear user stories with well-defined acceptance criteria.
Act as the subject matter expert for the product domain and serve as a primary point of contact for stakeholders.
Stay ahead of emerging trends in web and API technologies to foster innovation and continuous improvement.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
5+ years of proven experience as a Product Owner or in a similar product-focused role.
Strong background in business process analysis and requirements gathering.
In-depth understanding of API and web application development.
Proficiency with Agile methodologies (Scrum) and familiarity with backlog management tools such as Jira or Azure DevOps.
Excellent decision-making, communication, and organizational abilities.
Knowledge of user-centered design and best practices for web usability.
Skilled at influencing cross-functional teams and driving outcomes without direct authority.
Willingness to travel occasionally as needed.
