Roanoke, VA. Relocation or commuting to Roanoke, VA is required; competitive salary offered. Key Responsibilities Talent Acquisition and Workforce Planning:

Collaborate with the Talent Acquisition Manager at the Corporate Office to identify staffing needs and develop recruitment strategies for technical roles; assist in candidate evaluation, selection, onboarding to ensure effective integration into the Engineering team. Employee Relations:

Serve as a trusted advisor for Engineering employees and managers, address concerns, resolve conflicts, and foster a collaborative work environment; conduct investigations and provide resolution recommendations in line with company policies. Performance Management:

Guide Engineering managers in performance evaluations, goal-setting, and development plans; provide coaching to align with organizational objectives. Training and Development:

Identify engineering-specific training needs; develop and implement programs to build skills and leadership capabilities; collaborate with internal and external resources for technical training. Compensation and Benefits:

Partner with HR leadership to ensure competitive and equitable compensation structures for technical roles; assist employees with benefits-related questions. Compliance and Reporting:

Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local labor laws and company policies; maintain accurate records and prepare HR reports for the Engineering function. Culture and Engagement:

Develop initiatives to promote a positive and inclusive workplace culture for technical employees; organize events to foster team collaboration. Change Management:

Support Engineering leaders in driving organizational change, restructuring, and process improvements; act as a liaison during transitions to maintain productivity and morale.

Qualifications

Bachelors degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field Minimum of 5 years of HR experience, with at least 2 years supporting technical or engineering functions Strong knowledge of HR laws, regulations, and best practices Proven experience in talent development and workforce planning Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills; ability to build relationships across all levels Experience with HRIS systems and data-driven decision-making PHR/SPHR or SHRM-CP/SHRM-SCP certification preferred Strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment Strong attention to detail and organizational skills High level of confidentiality and integrity
