We are seeking a QA Tester to support testing efforts for a critical application that currently requires manual execution due to its legacy nature. While the existing system cannot yet be automated, the organization plans to expand test automation across other applications. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in manual QA with additional experience in building out automation frameworks, tool evaluation, and supporting test strategy development. This role is expected to extend beyond the initial project timeline.
Key Responsibilities:
- Execute manual test cases for a legacy application that does not currently support automation.
- Support planning and development of test automation for future applications, including tool selection and framework design.
- Participate in the RFP process for automation tool selection and implementation.
- Collaborate with the team to track and manage all test activities in Jira.
- Utilize Q-Test for test metric reporting and assist in building out test reporting capabilities.
- Contribute to the PO Automation project, ensuring accurate validation of purchase order processes and their conversion into system orders.
- Document defects, track resolutions, and ensure quality standards are met across all releases.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a QA Tester with strong manual testing expertise.
- Hands-on experience with test automation design, scripting, and execution (a plus if frameworks were built from scratch).
- Familiarity with QA tool selection and evaluation processes.
- Proficiency with Jira for test activity tracking.
- Experience using Q-Test or similar test management/reporting tools.
- Strong understanding of software QA methodologies, tools, and processes.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Nice to Have:
- Experience working on automation for order management or ERP-related systems.
- Exposure to projects involving purchase order (PO) automation.
