Job Description
Our client is seeking a Warehouse Manager to oversee daily operations, including freight management, inventory control, receiving, and team leadership. This individual will manage a team of warehouse associates, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and safety across all warehouse functions. The Warehouse Manager will play a key role in optimizing processes, maintaining compliance with company standards, and delivering outstanding support to internal and external customers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and lead a warehouse team of 15-20 employees, providing training, coaching, and performance management.
- Oversee freight operations, including scheduling, inbound/outbound shipments, carrier coordination, and freight cost optimization.
- Manage receiving activities, ensuring timely and accurate verification, logging, and storage of incoming goods.
- Maintain effective inventory control through cycle counts, reconciliations, and system accuracy to minimize shrinkage.
- Develop and enforce warehouse procedures and safety protocols in compliance with OSHA and company guidelines.
- Monitor productivity and set performance metrics to ensure operational goals are achieved.
- Collaborate with procurement, logistics, and operations teams to resolve discrepancies and streamline workflows.
- Prepare and present reports on warehouse performance, inventory levels, and freight costs to senior leadership.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives, leveraging technology and process enhancements to increase efficiency.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business Administration, or related field preferred; equivalent experience considered.
- 5+ years of warehouse or logistics management experience, with proven success leading teams of 10+ employees.
- Strong knowledge of freight management, receiving processes, and inventory control systems.
- Proficiency with warehouse management systems (WMS), ERP systems, and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment with strong attention to detail.
- Knowledge of OSHA regulations and commitment to workplace safety.
