Summary:

An established Commercial HVAC Service Company is looking to hire an Accounting Manager to work out of their Fort Lauderdale office. The company provides HVAC Services throughout the Southeast, and is looking to add a talented accounting professional to assist in growing the team throughout the company.

Responsibilities:

* Manage day-to-day accounting activities, including billing, collections, and maintenance of the general ledger.
* Review and finalize financial reports on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.
* Coordinate and execute closing procedures at month-end and year-end.
* Collaborate with the Corporate Controller to develop budgets, forecasts, and long-term financial strategies.
* Oversee adherence to tax requirements, external audits, and financial compliance standards.
* Lead, train, and support the accounting team to promote career development and team effectiveness.
* Establish and refine accounting policies, procedures, and internal control frameworks.
* Work closely with other departments to ensure financial data accuracy and alignment with business operations.
* Generate and present financial insights and reports to executive leadership and board members.

Job Requirements

Qualifications:

* Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
* CPA is preferred.
* 5+ years of Accounting experience, predominantly in a managerial role.
* Must be proficient in standard accounting principles, regulatory reporting standards, and financial governance practices.
* Proficient in the use of accounting systems such as QuickBooks and Vista, with advanced capability in Microsoft Excel.
* Must be able to interpret financial data, manage multiple priorities, and identify effective solutions to complex issues.
* Background in construction, HVAC, or related fields is highly desirable.
