Key Responsibilities:
- Manage intercompany transactions between domestic and international subsidiaries, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
- Oversee the general ledger accounting cycle and ensure all transactions are recorded properly for month-end closings.
- Execute monthly consolidation and elimination processes in line with corporate standards.
- Prepare, review, and analyze monthly financial statements, ensuring compliance with US GAAP and IFRS principles.
- Collaborate with internal and external auditors, coordinating timely fulfillment of audit requests.
- Implement and maintain robust internal controls for assigned areas and processes.
- Prepare and maintain detailed supporting schedules for balance sheets and income statements.
- Provide financial analysis and insights to support strategic decision-making.
- Assist in the budgeting process and ensure financial plans align with organizational goals.
- Leverage technology to automate and streamline manual accounting processes.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA preferred).
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting, with at least 2 years in a supervisory capacity.
- Expertise in the insurance industry (preferred).
- Strong knowledge of the full accounting cycle, general ledger processes, and financial reporting standards.
- Proficiency in US GAAP and IFRS principles.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, and other relevant accounting software.
- High attention to detail and accuracy, with strong organizational and time management skills.
- Demonstrated ability to lead, mentor, and supervise a team.
- Exceptional communication and analytical skills, with a problem-solving mindset.
