Reports To: General Director of Central Services
Position Purpose: To assist the General Director and the Executive Secretary in the opeation of the Service Center front office.

Speaking, hearing, visual, mobility, dexterity, consistency of temperament, multi-tasking, stamina for stressful situations. Fast-paced environment; some lifting; sitting/standing/walking at will. Sitting for long periods of time.
Performance Responsibilities:
Terms of Employment:
12 months; salary and work year to be determined by the Board of Education.
Evaluation:
Performance of this position will be evaluated in accordance with provisions of the board policy on evaluation of Support Service Personnel

Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Keyboard skills of 60+ wpm
- Must have good spelling skills and competency in composing memos & reports
- Must have basic bookkeeping and accounting skills
- Ability to operate office machines, i.e. copy machines, calculator, fax machine
- Preferable to have experience in using the USD 501 Tyler Enterprise program for payroll entry, and finance entries
- Preferable to have experience in creating documents by using MS Word and in creating Excel spreadsheets.
- Preferable to have experience in creating documents by using Google Docs and Sheets

Performance Responsibilities:
- Places & receives telephone calls, records messages and assists other secretaries
- Types online requisitions and manages open purchase order invoices for payment through accounts payable
- Coordinates the yearly distribution and recordkeeping of tornado/fire drill records for all school buildings
- Enters hourly employees' payroll attendance online biweekly
- Acts as the receptionist for the Service Center
- Schedules training for and keeps records of the asbestos training of employees within the district
- Maintains a regular filing system
- Performs varied related office duties
