Legal Secretary (Insurance Defense / Construction Defect)

Scion Staffing has been engaged to conduct a search for a Legal Secretary for a civil litigation firm in Phoenix, AZ. This is a full-time, direct hire position with benefits.

Position Overview

This exciting opportunity is seeking someone who is highly organized, detail-oriented, and experienced with State and Federal court procedures, legal filings, and calendaring. Strong multitasking, communication, and proofreading skills are essential. Proficiency in MS Word, Outlook, and legal calendaring is required. Reliability, teamwork, and the ability to manage a busy workload are key to success in this role.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, draft, and format legal documents, including correspondence, pleadings, and discovery materials
• Manage legal calendaring to track deadlines, court dates, and appointments
• Handle court filings and e-filings in compliance with State and Federal requirements
• Proofread legal documents to ensure accuracy, clarity, and proper formatting
• Provide clerical and administrative support to attorneys and paralegals
• Organize and maintain case files, both physical and electronic
• Assist with scheduling meetings, depositions, and court appearances
• Help ensure the legal team operates efficiently while upholding high standards of client service
• Track important deadlines and maintain up-to-date case calendars

Qualifications

• Skilled in legal document preparation and legal processes
• 4+ years of relevant experience
• Proficient in administrative and legal support tasks
• Familiar with legal terminology and court procedures
• Experience with insurance defense or construction defect cases is a plus

Compensation

This position offers an annual salary range of $85,000-$105,000 plus a comprehensive benefits package.
