We are seeking a skilled Electrician to plan and layout work, analyze malfunctioning electrical equipment, and recommend corrective actions. Required to install, repair, and maintain all electrical systems and equipment such as generators, motors, transformers, switches, controls, and associated circuits.

What You Will Do
- Investigate faults or difficulties reported by the operations team on electrical systems, lighting, outlets, wiring, etc.
- Determine the proper method of removing covers or machine guarding to gain access to components for testing and repairs.
- Diagnose, troubleshoot, and determine the proper method for repair or replacement of failed components.
- Install and maintain electrical equipment that powers factory machinery such as lathes, multi-axis drilling and milling machines, paint booths, automated assembly and layup robots, electric welders, and items of similar complexity.
- Analyze malfunctions and replace or repair LED, fluorescent, and incandescent electric light circuits, bulbs, fixtures, standard circuits, and accessory electrical outlets.
- Test equipment to ensure safety, performance, and accuracy meet requirements before turning over to end-users.
- Set up and operate a variety of highly sensitive and precise electronic test tools and equipment.
- Conduct functional and operation testing on electrical equipment.
- Maintain logs and reports necessary for preventive maintenance and service records.
- Communicate with management and supervision by verbal, written, and electronic means.
Job Requirements
- Ability to read and interpret all types of maintenance blueprints and specifications.
- Ability to compute wire sizes and utilize precision measuring instruments such as multimeters, voltmeter, clamp meters, power monitors, and other tools and gauges used to analyze and repair electrical components.
- Use appropriate PPE, tools, and proper clothing requirements when working on and around electrical panels and components.
- Willingness and ability to instruct and assist less experienced electricians and electrical mechanics.
- A physically demanding role with exposure to loud noises, potential hazards, and often dirty environments, requiring the use of protective gear, frequent standing, lifting heavy parts, and working in tight spaces.
What You Must Bring to Succeed
- Must have a Journeyman’s Electrician license that is current with the State of Maryland.
- HS Diploma/GED equivalent.
- Minimum of 4 years of related work experience.
Preferred Characteristics
- Prior use of AutoCad Electronics toolbar for schematic creation.
- Experience performing electrical work in a large industrial setting.
- Experience with high power substations.
