DP Professionals is hiring: Business Systems Analyst in Columbia

DPP is seeking a Business Systems Analyst for an opportunity in Columbia, SC.

Work arrangement:

• Partial onsite: Onsite 3 days/week (Tues., Wed., Thurs.) and as needed. Remote 2 days/week.
• W2 position; 11 months
• Candidates must be eligible to earn a low-level US security clearance (Public Trust).

Position summary:

• Defines customer needs in technical and business contexts.
• Ensure the proposed technical and business solutions meet the customer's objectives for the work effort.

Work Environment:

• Fast-paced, high demand environment.
• Work is frequently performed against mandated deadlines.
• Knowledge of when and what to delegate is essential in order to balance multiple high-priority tasks.
• Fast paced, multi-platformed environment which may require action and response 24X7 to support the technical business needs of the customer.
• Hours: 8:30-5:00 - Potential for overtime, off hours and/or weekend work with gained experience in the area.

Required technologies:

• Basic knowledge of standard industry practices.
• Able to acquire knowledge of procedures for the supported business unit.
• Able to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical audiences, including the ability to express complex technical and business concepts to management, peers, and the business units.
• Good teamwork and interpersonal skills.
• Understands how IT affects an organization and is able to link it to business processes.
• Good analytical and conceptual skills.
• Broad understanding of test plans and test matrices, project plans, and scope and design documents.
• Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
• Azure Boards

Nice to have:

• Visio
• MS Project or similar software
• Data mining using DB2, SQL, and/or other tools

Soft skills:

• Strong Communications Skills
• Adaptable to fast-paced environment
• Work with minimal supervision
• Ability to learn quickly and analysis the data

Minimum required work experience:

• 2 years of IT business analysis experience.

Required education/equivalencies:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, or other job related field
• Or 2 years of job related experience plus an Associate's degree in Computer Science, Business Administration or other job related degree
• Or 4 years of job related work experience (6 years total)

Preferred Licenses and Certificates:

• Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP)
• HIPAA
• LOMA
